The Shillingford Bridge Hotel is ideally located in the Thames Valley between Oxford and Reading and on the banks of the River Thames. This riverside hotel offers 42 bedrooms - all with en-suite facilities and some with views across the lawns to the River Thames. The dark wood panelled reception area offers a warm friendly ambience as you enter the hotel. The River Bar is an ideal place for a drink or a snack with panoramic views over the river and The Riverview Restaurant is a magnificent setting in which to enjoy the delicious food from our extensive table d-hote and a la carte menus. This idyllic setting is ideal for wedding receptions with the restaurant seating up to 150 guests and the hotel is fully licensed for civil weddings. There are three main conference rooms and three small meeting rooms allowing the hotel to accommodate conferences up to 80 delegates. During the summer time the hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool and an adjacent paddling pool for kids. Located within a short distance of Oxford - Henley - Wallingford and Reading - the hotel is a superb base for leisure and corporate travellers in the Thames Valley district. Boating has always been popular and river trips are available locally. There are also a number of golf courses close by. The hotel is please to offer guests free off-street car parking. From 1st July all Forestdale Hotels - including the bedrooms - will become completely no smoking when the Smokefree England legislation comes into force. Directions

LHR - London Heathrow:

M4 West to junction 12, (A4), towards Newbury, at the junction with the A340 go towards Pangbourne, join the A329 to Winterbrook Roundabout. Straight over on the unclassified road into Wallingford, straight across the traffic lights towards Oxford. Hotel is 2 miles on left.

LGW - London Gatwick:

Join the M23 at Junction 9A, continue to your 1st roundabout taking the 1st exit onto the M25. Proceed along the M25 coming off at Junction 16 onto the M40. Continue on the M40 to Junction 6 taking the B4009 through Watlington to Benson. Turn left at the "T" junction & you will come to a roundabout with a BP garage, take the 2nd exit to onto the A4074 sign posted to Oxford, then take a left at the next roundabout and the hotel is 1/2 mile down the road over the bridge.
